Terica Cares Incorporated is a Georgia-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization established in 2021 to improve the health, wellness, and quality of life of women, girls, youth, and underserved families.
What began as a mission to advocate for individuals affected by endometriosis has grown into a comprehensive community-focused organization addressing health disparities, food insecurity, mental wellness, youth empowerment, and access to essential resources.
Through education, advocacy, meaningful partnerships, and compassionate outreach, we strive to remove barriers, strengthen communities, and create opportunities for individuals and families to thrive.

Our Story
Terica Cares was founded in 2021 by Terica Carlisle, whose personal experiences navigating endometriosis, chronic health challenges, and the emotional impact of illness inspired her to become an advocate for women and girls facing similar struggles.
Recognizing the need for greater awareness, education, and accessible support, she established Terica Cares to create a safe and compassionate space where individuals could receive encouragement, resources, and a sense of community.
As the organization connected with more families, it became increasingly clear that wellness extends beyond healthcare. Food insecurity, financial hardship, limited access to resources, and housing instability can deeply affect the overall well-being of individuals and families.
This understanding inspired Terica Cares to broaden its outreach and develop programs that address interconnected community needs.
Today, Terica Cares continues to build on its founding purpose through women's health advocacy, youth empowerment, food security, wellness initiatives, and community outreach. The organization is also developing its Housing & Hope initiative to explore housing stability solutions for Veterans and individuals and families experiencing homelessness in Atlanta.

Terica Carlisle
Founder & Executive Director
Terica Carlisle is the founder of Terica Cares Incorporated, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting women, and girls suffering in silence with Endometriosis. Her journey to advocacy began with her own decade-long battle with endometriosis, a chronic and often misunderstood disease that caused her years of pain, misdiagnoses, and emotional financial hardship.
From her teenage years, Terica endured excruciating symptoms without answers or support. It wasn’t until she was 30 years old that she finally received a proper diagnosis after countless doctor visits, ER hospital stays, and even major surgery. Despite medical interventions, her struggle continued, and she often felt unseen, unheard, and dismissed by the healthcare system.
Yet, through perseverance, faith, and resilience, Terica pressed forward. After years of treatments, including hormonal therapies and surgery, she achieved what many thought impossible—welcoming her miracle baby at age 39, despite the challenges of endometriosis.
Out of her personal pain grew a deep passion to ensure that no woman suffers in silence as she once did. This calling led to the creation of Terica Cares Incorporated, where Terica now advocates for women with endometriosis, promotes mental health awareness, and provides relief and encouragement to families experiencing hardship.
Her mission is rooted in compassion, hope, and advocacy—driven by the belief that every woman and young girl deserves access to proper care, support, and the dignity of being truly heard. Terica’s story stands as a testament to resilience, faith, and the power of transforming personal struggle into purpose for the greater good. Terica is originally from Atlanta Ga. In her free time, she enjoys live music, writing, and spending time with her incredibly supportive Fiancé, family, and friends. When asked why she felt so passionately about starting Terica Cares, she says "endometriosis is criminally under researched and horribly misunderstood, and I want to be a part of changing that, sooner rather than later."
